SEOUL: Producer's largest mobile phone world, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (Samsung) today unveiled the latest version of the smartphone size, the Galaxy Note 4 earlier than expected after Apple Inc. reported record sales of the iPhone 6.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 - originally scheduled to be launched in October - will be on the market in South Korea and China this week before they are sold in over 140 countries by the end of next month.

It will be the first time the history of Samsung products sold in the Chinese market earlier than other market reflecting the desire of the technology firms want to compete with products made in China cheaper.

The decision to accelerate the launch date was also made after the nearest competitor, Apple reported record pre-order the latest range of iPhone, including iPhone 6 Plus last weekend - for the first time inclusion of firms from the United States into the large screen segment.

However, the latest iPhone is still not available in the Chinese market.

Samsung pioneered the market for devices segment 'phablet' - the size of a smart phone and tablet computer - when introducing a series of Galaxy Note in 2011.

In fact, with the introduction of the Galaxy S smart phones, the South Korean electronics giant managed to get rid of Apple as the leading smartphone manufacturer.

However, Samsung is facing increasing challenges in large markets where competition from cheap Chinese phone manufacturers are increasing in recent years.

Samsung in July, reported a 20 percent drop in net profit for the second quarter while its share is now trading at its lowest level in two years.

"We do this through the difficult business conditions," said Head of Sales and Marketing for Samsung's mobile unit, Lee Don-Joo at the launch of the Galaxy Note 4 here.
